2022 Terres de Velle Auxey-Duresses 'Les Hautes' Blanc 750ml Cotes du Rhone here the fruit is ratherThis is from 55yo vines from what is a top site (in both senses of the word) for whites, next to Meursault Veireuils and Luchetes. There are just 2 or 3 barrels of this wine usually, I see more fullness in this wine and Bill Nansen (The Burgundy Report writing on a different vintage but this applies here too) mentions more muscle, intensity and density (than the Bourgogne) but brought together with benchmark acidity. This is very lovely!
